Desining my Front Cover

I decided to sketch what i wanted my magazine front cover to look like. I think this will will help me work out many ideas and give me a starting point before i go onto to create my magazine in photoshop. Firstly I wanted a bold headlinethat would situated at the top left hand corner. This is where most music magazines place there title so my audience would easily know where to find it and what it means. Also from deconstructing music magazien front covers the photo of the band/artist used is either behind or infront of the headline text. so i decided that i want my picture me over the top of the headline and create a layering effect. I drew a thick bold lines to seperate the title and the picture and give the cover a bold and hard hitting effect. during the desining i also experimented with using different shapes or icons i could use; musical notes, play or pause button or an X shape. I thought they would be symbolic and link in well with the text. Also they would help attract my teenage audience as there will be visually more parts to look at on cover. I also started wrting a few ideas of what would be written on the front cover of a music magazine. I tried using a persuasive and exciting tone that would make my audience want to go and buy the magazine 'Line Up's Here!'.
